Time Stride

Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Time Stride handles information when you use the app. The short version is simple: Time Stride is designed to work primarily on your device, and we do not sell your personal information.

Information We Collect

Time Stride may access or store the following information to provide its core features:

How Information Is Used

Time Stride uses this information to provide the features of the app, including to:

Location Data

If you allow location access, Time Stride uses location to run walk-based features such as distance tracking, timeline pacing, route display, and map pins. If you enable background walking behavior and your device permissions allow it, the app may continue receiving location updates while the app is not in the foreground. You can change location permissions at any time in your device settings.

On-Device Storage

Time Stride stores app preferences, bookmarks, and walk-related state locally on your device. Some temporary shared state may also be stored locally through Apple app-group storage so the main app and its lock screen / Live Activity features can stay in sync.

Speech, Maps, and Apple System Features

Time Stride uses Apple system frameworks such as speech synthesis, maps, and Live Activities to provide app features. These features may process data needed for their operation on your device under Apple’s platform rules.

External Links

Some actions in the app may open external web pages or searches in your browser, such as research links. Those websites are not operated by Time Stride, and their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. Based on the current app design, walk data, settings, and bookmarks are primarily handled locally on your device rather than sent to a developer-operated server.
